... and now we are in Dharamsala

Monday, March 1, 2010, from John

It is late on the evening of the 1st of March, the actual day of Holi, the Hindu festival celebrating Krishna and his mischievious side. You have probably seen photos, the throwing of colored powder on others. Here among mostly Tibetans in McLeod Ganj above Dharamsala proper the pasting with pastels is easily avoided. Yet just a few meters out of town you find Hindu temples and young men willing to alter your wardrobe to more randomly festive. A few students embraced the joy.

You probably do not want to hear a list of excuses for not posting, although they do offer a view into our journey. An idea was floated in Thailand and here is an attempt to follow through with linking you with student blogs. These students have found time to write and post photos. Please commend them.

We will start with Sophie.
